Iyo Nishio

Hello! My name is Iyo Nishio. I am twenty years old, and I’m a 2nd year student of Foreign University in Nagoya. I study English and Chinese there, and I enjoy my campus life. I’m from Gifu, which is center position of Japan, but I live in Nagoya by myself now. I go to school by school bus every morning. I wear casual clothes because I like its style. My hobby is listening to music and watching movies, and I like Japanese pop music and Japanese film.


I recommend my favorite place to you. First favorite place is library. That is joint library with next university, so the place becomes one of exchanging spots with students of next university. Also, the number of books is so many, and there are many foreign books, so we can study English. Then, the place is so quiet, so my homework goes ahead. Second favorite place is MLC, which is watching movie room. There are a lot of movies, and we can enjoy movies there. Also, we can relax when we are tired from study, and we can watch movies for free. Then, there are various genres, so we can find our favorite movie.

Finally, there are a lot of foreign books at school library, so please find your favorite foreign book! Also, there are many interesting movies at MLC, so you can feel refreshed your weary brain by studying. So, you should go there!

Yumiko Nakano

Hi! My name is Yumiko Nakano and I’m a student of NUFS. My major is English and I live in Anjo of Aichi. My hobbies are listening to music and playing drums. I will tell you about my hobbies, favorite singers and place.
I belonged in music club just half a year, but I quit the club. However I was interested in drums, so I started going a drum lesson in Chiryu. Music is essential for me. I listen to music every day. My best favorite singer is L’Arc~en~Ciel, and I was attracted the drummer of the band when I saw him on TV, so I started playing drums. They are popular all over the world, and they were held lives in Paris this year. They are not acting now, but they will revive in 2011 and do lives, so I really want to go to the live because I haven’t been to a live. Other singers I like are Aqua Timez, YUI and so on.

Now I go to a drum lesson as I said, it is very fun but sometimes boring. It’s because my legs and hands don’t move as I like. I have learned drums since last November. I chose this place because I can play drums. I like moving my body when I was a child, so I enjoyed playing it very much. You can play other instruments, for example, a guitar, a flute, a bass, and a piano.







I want to make progress. I want to play drums everyday so I hope to buy an electron drums now. I also want to beat a drum precisely. I think I will continue lessons and I want to form a band someday.

Yukitaka Takeuchi

Hello, My name is Yukitaka Takeuchi. I’m twenty years old. I live in Nisshin city in Aichi prefecture. But my home town is Hamamatsu city in shizuoka prefecture. I’m a second year student in NUFS. My hobby is listening to music and playing the guitar. So, I have some respect musicians and bands. “The back horn” is my most favorite band in Japan. They make good numbers. Eijun Suganami is a guitarist in this band. He play very aggressive guitar. But he is sensitive. Lately, I am interest in foreign musician and band. Do you know “Radio head”? They are very cool artists in the U.K. Thom Yorke who is lead vocal in Radio head sing many sad songs. I recommend them. I started playing the guitar from I belonged this university. So, my guitar playing is too bad. But I like this instrument.


Next, I will introduce about my recommended place in my university. MLC is my most favorite place in NUFS. This loom is very silent. And you can watch many DVD of movies. You can study English from movies. I recommend that you should study English there.

Finally, there are many places in my university. For example, We can read some foreign news papers in library. You should go to there.

Anna Sasaki

Hello! My name is Anna Sasaki. I’m a student in Nagoya Foreign University. I learn English in there now. My hobby is reading books, especially I like reading mystery novels. Also, I like going travel alone if I have some saving.




Well, my favorite place is a library in my university. There are 5 floores. Books which are written in English and magazines are in first floor. In second and third floor, there are some kind books such about religion and so on. There are English books in fourth floor, and in fifth floor, you can see the exhibits.

I really like reading books, so I like this place. I borrow about 5 books once a month. I’m interested in many things, I usually borrow books about religion, society and some other things. When I have free time, I always go to the library. My favorite novelist is Hideo Okuda. He is very famous novelists in Japan. He usually writes mystery novels.

Also, library is very comfortable place to me because I do not like noisy places. Especially, third floor and fouth floor is very quiet. I sometimes sleep in there...anyway, I really love this place, so maybe I could live in library forever if I can.

Ayaka Oshima

Hi! My name is Ayaka Oshima. I’m a second student at Nagoya University of Foreign Studies. I live in Ichinomiya city. It takes about 1.5hour from my house so it is hard for me. I belong　to Joint festival committee. We prepare for school festival which held on October. I could make many friends there. I really enjoy my school life every day. The reason is I love NUFS.


I would like to tell about my favorite place at NUFS. It is a communication plaza. The building is very fashionable. It is located at the center of the campus, so always crowds with many students. When I go there I always can meet my friends. First floor, it has a café, book and stationery store. The café‘s foods are so delicious. My recommend menu is omelet rice. Second floor, it has a bakery and Language Lounge. I always go to a Pasco and buy some bread. There are various kinds of bread. We can take with many international students at Language Lounge. It is an interesting place. Third floor, it has an office of study abroad. We can get some information about TOEFL and study abroad.

Walking around this campus or communication plaza, I meet many foreigners. I think that it can’t experience at other university. NUFS is really exciting university.

Ayako Ito

There are 7 people in my family. I like watching movies, especially Western movies. My favorite movie is Armagedon. It is most impressed movie I’ve ever seen. Movie makes me fun, sad, and excited. I like listening to music and shopping, too. I often go to Sakae or Nagoya station with my friends. My part-time jobs are a waitress at Okonomiyaki restaurant and Okinawa dish’s restaurant. I work three times a week and enjoy my part-time jobs.


I am a NUFS student, so I’ll introduce a good place in NUFS. My favorite place is Multi media Leaning Center (MLC) because we can watch many kinds of movies. If you watch movies with 3 people, you can watch them at a private room. The TV has a wide display and the speaker is big, so it is like a small theater. We learn English through watching movies and using computer, too.

If you like movies, you should go to MLC and enjoy watching movies. There are many interesting places at NUFS. We can eat delicious food and study in the library. I enjoy my school life with many friends and I think you’ll like NUFS.

Yuika Uchi

Hi, my name is Yuika Uchi. I am a second year student at Nagoya University of Foreign Studies. I live in Taketoyo town in Aichi. I take about an hour and a half to commute by train, subway and bus every day. Almost every day, I work after school. I come back home at about one a.m. I am pressed for time at home, so I don’t have much time to do homework. I do it when I have a time in the school.
Next, I will introduce my favorite place in NUFS. I recommend the school library. It is a 5-story building. There are many various books. In a ground floor, new books, encyclopedias and so on were putting. Second floor, generally bookshelves such as philosophy and history were putting. Third floor, art books, comics and picture books and so on were putting. Forth floor, foreign books were putting. Fifth floor is an exhibition hall. All floors are quiet, so we can read books and study seriously in there.
I often study in there, and use books. My school library is very useful. if you don’t have place where you are studying or want to read books, go to library!!!
